The National University of Music of Bucharest, through the Centre for Nineteenth-Century Music Studies (CNCMS), in partnership with the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, the National Academy of Music “Tchaikovsky” in Kiev (UNTAM), and the REVIVART Association, is implementing the project “PSALT (Psalmody and alternative systems of tonal language)” between July 15 and November 15, 2024. The project is co-financed by the Administration of the National Cultural Fund (AFCN).

The first activities involve the organization of ten free workshops on Byzantine music with Cyrillic alphabet between July 16 and August 22. The courses will be held online and will be given by Archdeacon PhD Gabriel Constantin OPREA. Those interested are invited to register by scanning the QR code to access the ZOOM link.

The project does not necessarily represent the position of the Administration of the National Cultural Fund. AFCN is not responsible for the content of the project or how the project results may be used. These are entirely the responsibility of the grant beneficiary.
